Memorias de un jardín, inspirada en el bosque de niebla, la selva de bambú, los pastizales; paisajes que exaltan un lenguaje plástico sensible, sumándole frescura al trabajo de fund, que en esta ocasión pone a la flora y fauna como protagonistas, con el mismo peso que las bestias que no dejan de aparecer en su imaginario.
Deviene en un oásis visual de tiempos y espacios simbólicos, ecosistemas presentes en su memoria que se distinguen por trazos orgánicos; por una nueva investigación y manejo del color; por la pluralidad y yuxtaposición de técnicas de la gráfica, y la astuta generación de variantes que producen dicotomías de interpretación, de conexión entre piezas.
En algunos casos, las composiciones parecen alzarse como fantasías de otras épocas: la caminata del persa por el desierto de bambú con su mensajero pájaro a la altura del pecho; el ciclista en el atardecer encendido que señala la dirección por el camino rojo; la ofrenda de la dama de noche, que es ave, flor y mujer griega; el lánguido con su mitra y su sombra encima, reclamándole o advirtiéndole el camino…
Las piezas que conforman esta serie, como la mayoría de la obra de Sebastián Fund, están cargadas de un erotismo humano y animal, posible de apreciar en las sutilezas, en las curvas y espirales, en la rectitud fálica de algunas plantas, en los colores complementarios que equilibran lo femenino y lo masculino, el placer del día y de la noche, de lo frío y lo cálido.
A la vez sobria y estridente, esta serie aporta en su diversidad un aire de búsqueda que se puede atribuir al espíritu científico del artista, que no deja de expandir sus posibilidades expresivas y técnicas para revelarse y evolucionar en el acto creativo.

Memorias de un jardín (Memories of a garden), inspired by the cloud forest, the bamboo jungle, the grasslands; landscapes that exalt a sensitive plastic language that adds freshness to Fund's work, which in this occasion has flora and fauna as its protagonists, with the same importance of the beasts that continue to appear in his imagination.
It becomes a visual oasis of symbolic times and spaces, of ecosystems present in his memory that are distinguished by organic lines, new research and color management, as well as by the plurality and juxtaposition of graphic techniques, and the astute creation of variants that produce dichotomies of interpretation, of connection between pieces.
In some cases, the compositions seem to raise as fantasies from other times: the Persian's walk through the bamboo desert with his messenger bird at chest-level; the cyclist in the roused twilight that points into the direction on the red road; the offering from the lady of the night, who is a bird, a flower and a Greek woman; the languid man with the miter and his shadow on top of him, claiming him or warning him the way…
The pieces that make up this series, like most of Sebastian Fund's work, are loaded with human and animal eroticism that is possible to appreciate in the subtleties, in the curves and spirals, in the phallic straightness of some plants, in the complementary colors that balance the feminine and the masculine, the pleasure of day and night, of cold and heat.
Sober and strident at the same time, the diversity of this series offers an air of search that can be attributed to the scientific spirit of the artist, who continues to expand on his expressive and technical possibilities to reveal himself and evolve in the creative act.
